The most widely known craft manufacture in the area is the exquisite needlework created by the Bulgarian women. Intricate traditional patterns can be seen decorating table cloths in restauarants, homes, carpets and wall hangings. You can view and purchase these works in Tourist Information centre.
Many of the Sapareva Banya homes, restaurants and cafes reflect the Bulgarian architecture, styles and methods. Local masters masons work to combine river stone and slate with forged iron and wood, creating decorous gardens and intricate internal patios. In the house of Doctor Marinov there is a big assembly of works made of wood from across Bulgaria. Within more than 40 years, Doctor Marinov has assembled this collection and now exhibits to groups of tourists - more information and times at the Information Centre.
The Artists Guild of Sapareva Banya is composed of many accomplished artist and poets. Poets Mihael Kaldrumov, Vessela Gyviiskа, and Antonia Mitsova are all respected local authors.
The painters Radostine Angelokov, Vassil Koritarov, Vassil Krapchanski and have produed many widely celebrated works from contemporary fine landscapes and portraits. Many inspired by the very special atmosphere to be found in Saparev Banya. It is highly recommended that you see their works in Cultural Center of Sapareva Banya.
